England midfielder Elliot Anderson is repoterdly set to have a medical ahead on Friday of his proposed transfer to Manchester City.
Nottingham Forest have agreed terms on a transfer fee with Manchester City while Anderson is away with Thomas Tuchel's squad at the ongoing World Cup.
England will play their final group stage game on Saturday afternoon at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, just outside New York City - so does having that medical mean he can still play for England in that game?
Elliot Anderson to hold Manchester City medical in New York
Anderson's transfer will not affect his involvement for England for a very simple reason: he's not flying back to Manchester to have it done.
Instead, City will hold the medical in New York City, with Thomas Tuchel indicating earlier in the tournament: "The doctor is ready to take any medical if needed."
Fabrizio Romano claims that City have scheduled the medical to be held on Friday, although earlier Sky Sports reporting had it that discussions were still ongoing and that Tuchel would prefer it didn't happen the day before a game.
Doing it while England are in New York for Saturday's game would hold certain advantages, however.

Manchester City are a sister club with New York City FC, and could potentially hold the medical at their facilities and using their staff if required.
Alternatively, City could fly their own medics over to the England camp.
Or, as Tuchel has indicated, England's own travelling doctor could perform the medical and send the results to City.
Neither the medical nor personal terms are expected to pose an issue for Anderson, who has started alongside Declan Rice in the England midfield in both of their games so far this summer.
England beat Croatia 4-2 in a convincing display in their opening game, but were frustrated in a goalless draw with Ghana last time out.
They will now face Panama on Saturday with kick-off set for 5pm local time (10pm UK time), and would be guaranteed to top the group with a win as long as Ghana do not simultaneously beat Croatia by a large enough scoreline to overhaul England on goal difference.
