England have been handed a penalty verdict after Harry Kane was left furious when he was judged to have dived against DR Congo
Harry Kane was left livid when he was judged to have dived during England's round of 32 clash with DR Congo.
The Three Lions had been nothing short of a disgrace , and we're lucky to be just one goal down when an onrushing Kane found himself one-on-one. Kane knocked the ball round Lionel Mpasi, before he was taken down by the keepers arms.
However, Kane was judged to have dived, leaving the England forward, and Thomas Tuchel in the dugout, furious . There was a VAR check, but it was quickly moved past as the on-field ruling stood.

Speaking on BBC One, Alan Shearer was stunned: "There is contact, there is no doubt. For me that is a penalty. Kane may have made the most of it but the keeper has come out and his hands are there.
"If he is going to come rushing out like that with his hands as a forward you have every right to make connection and go down."
While on BBC Radio 5 Live, Paul Robinson was in agreement: "Wow. They have got that wrong. They have got that so wrong. That's not just me being patriotic, that is a penalty. The contact is there!"

England fans were equally as angry: "Unbelievable, this sport is absolutely mudded. If VAR isn’t there for that, what on earth is it there for???"
"Ok, so I'm English and I'm biased but that is a penalty all-day long. How that decision has not been overturned, I have no idea," a second fumed. While a third said: "Kane was both pushed by the defender and tripped by the keeper. How’s that not a penalty?"
And another added: "In no scenario is that not a penalty, if I was English my TV would be broken..."
